Latest News....
As Committee Secretary for the Ladies section, I wanted to provide a couple of updates/reminders as we move into the Spring and a new golfing year.

The committee had its first meeting under our new Captain Tracy Scott on 22nd Jan. We approved the AGM minutes then. These are now posted on the notice board for anyone who wishes to read them before they are filed. This will be the new structure going forward e.g. at our February meeting Tracy will approve January minutes and I will then post a copy on the notice board.

We will no longer have a suggestion book. Instead, should anyone wish to raise an issue/concern they are to email ladiesbroughgolf@hotmail.com. Please note any issues/concerns received that is not directly related to the Ladies section will not be progressed. Any concerns about other areas should be directed to the relevant team e.g. food & beverage to Brantingham Inns or course issues to the management team.

From 1 April 2026 payment for all competitions will move to the new HowdidiDo App (formerly known as V1) . This means everyone will need to ensure they ‘top up’ their Competition Purse and entries fees will be deducted directly from there. Olly has done a helpful video for anyone who is unsure how this works (see attached) and our Captain, Tracy has offered to support anyone who need a bit of one-one tuition. Just pop to see her when she is in the shop. To watch the video CLICK HERE

From 1 April 2026 competition fees are also increasing to £4 to align with fee paid by other sections of the club. This was agreed (and minuted) on 27.02.25 and discussed again (and minuted) on 23.10.25.

Competitions can be played at any time on Sunday or the following Wednesday. If anyone wants to play after 2pm on a Wednesday, please message Dawn Williamson who will leave the competition open until midnight to accommodate. Please remember: It is one competition per week with associated prize money (e.g. there will not be separate prizes for Sunday entries).

A couple of reminders for our PMG Members
you cannot play in Club Knockouts / Alliance matches / Team competitions / Some weekend competitions (card counting ones) / Boarded competitions
you can play in midweek club competitions / Ladies’ competitions for handicap purposes / Mixed Social Events (but cannot win the prize money for some)

If you have any questions on any of this email, please drop me a message at ladiesbroughgolf@hotmail.com so I can assist.

I am sure like me you are looking forward to another excellent year of golf!
