Surrey County Golf Scratch League KO Winners 2022
CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to the Men's Scratch League Team who beat Burhill 3-2 in the final at Farnham GC yesterday afternoon.
A great result for the Woodcote squad superbly captained by Balraj Dhanjal with Ross Jordan, Gabe Backers, Ross Sheppard and Martyn Scarlett.
On a surprisingly warm sunny afternoon, with the score standing at 2 all, Balraj played in the final match to come back from 3 down with 5 holes to play to win on the 18th in a thrilling finish.
I would also like to mention the other members of the squad, namely Michael Shields and Keith Newton for playing their part in previous matches.
On behalf of all the Woodcote Park members, I would like to congratulate the boys on winning this very prestigious county trophy, an absolutely fantastic achievement.
