On Sunday 26th June, Joshua Caffyn prevailed in testing windy conditions to shoot 72+82=154 and lift the Men’s Club Championship Crown for the third year in succession.

After leading by two shots from Nick Baker, and 4 shots from Seb Lewis overnight, Josh got off to a rocky start on Day 2 and after only 2 holes all three players were tied. On a day of fluctuating fortunes, Josh managed to regain his lead by the turn, but elsewhere, Paul Tompkins, who had started the day 6 shots back was making his move. Playing solidly, he covered the front nine in 38 and the back in 41 for a score of 79 equaling the best round of the day.

His efforts just fell short however, as Josh completed his round with an up and down on the final hole for a 3 to win the Championship by 3 shots.

Congratulations to Josh, and to all those who took part!

Results: 1st Josh Caffyn, 154, 2nd Paul Tompkins 157, 3rd Nick Baker 162.

Many thanks to Steven Morton Felt Roofing and Flacks Brewery, for once more sponsoring the event.
