Barton-on-Sea v RSAGS
Barton win first leg of the annual fixture against RSAGS
On Wednesday 22nd June Team Barton-on-Sea played against the Royal School of Artillery Golf Society (RSAGS) at home in the first leg of this annual two match fixture played in the 4BBB format.

Despite the RSAGS fielding an extremely seasoned team Barton managed to beat them 4 games to nil.

Bud Slaney, Barton's Team Captain said, "The course was in outstanding condition and I personally received many compliments from the visitors on how much the course had improved since their last visit. I was asked by their Captain to pass on his compliments and thanks to Jon (Course Manager) and his team.

A brilliant day was topped off with a tremendous match meal expertly produced and served by Kate and her team. Our visitors were quick to acknowledge the very high standards of the course, the service and food in the Clubhouse. I have the honour of Captaining this team for both legs and look forward to hopefully doing so again in the future."

The Team will be heading to High Post Golf Club on Wednesday 24th August for the second leg in the hope of bringing home the silverware.
