RYA First Aid Course
First Aid Course - Saturday 30th July.
This one-day RYA First Aid course covers all the usual first aid subjects, provides a working knowledge of these from a boating perspective and is aimed at anyone who goes afloat.

It also fulfils the requirements for anybody wishing to gain the following professional qualifications which require holding a valid first aid certificate; RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Windsurfing Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor, RYA Senior Instructor

Key learning points:

Basic first aid and subjects specific to boating which include; recovery position in a confined space, CPR including drowning protocol, cold shock and hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure, seasickness and dehydration, medical assistance or advice by VHF and helicopter rescue.

Date - Saturday 30th July

Timings - 9am till 5pm

Venue - tbc (Dart Nationals & Seabird registration and Club racing mean there is not the available space needed within the Club)

Cost - £60, which includes the RYA first aid manual.
