Greenkeeper Safety Awareness
Greenkeeper Safety Awareness
We are trying to present the course to a higher standard this year. This means more man hours and time to present the course and we need to be on the course at times when you are playing. We want the course to be as good as possible for you and are working hard to achieve these new standards, however we need your co-operation in allowing us some time to finish pieces of work in front of you when you are playing. This will allow us to fit all the work in that we need to complete and get more done.

Therefore when you are playing please allow our staff to complete their work and get out of range before you play your shot. It is a dangerous act to hit when a member of staff is within range. We have had 3 near misses in the past week where staff have almost been struck by flying golf balls so please have some consideration for the damage you might do to someone next time you are about to play a shot when a member of staff or any other person is in range.

At Blackwood it is the Greenkeeper that has priority on the course and you should wait until they wave you on or are out of range before playing your shot.
