Graham wins Sussex Seniors Championship
Eagle on 18th to win title
Steve Graham won his 3rd Sussex Seniors Championship in 4 years with a spectacular eagle 3 on the 18th hole at Cooden Beach GC.

Graham trailed by 2 shots after the morning round to Doug Park 71 -1 (Cooden Beach & defending champion ) and by 1 shot from current Welsh Champion , Martin Galway 72 level (Pyecombe).

Martin Galway returned another level par round of 72 to set the club house lead on 144 - level par. Park dropped out of the lead with bogeys on 13,14 & 15 to leave Graham requiring a birdie on the last to force a play-off. His 6 iron approach to the par 5 18th finish 30ft away just off the green. He elected to play a hybrid from the edge and holed out for a winning eagle 3 and a second round of 70 -2 and a -1 total of 143.

The Cooden Beach pairing of Roy Stephenson & Doug Park won the team event by 2 shots from Paul Plant & Steve Graham. Plant (71) and Graham's (70) -3 under afternoon team total came up 2 shots short of winning the pairs for the 4th year running.

Paul Plant finished 7th and Dave Bridger 20th
