Language and Food in the Club House
.
Members are reminded that bad and offensive language is not acceptable in the club house. There have been recent complaints that bad language is becoming more prevalent and it is neither appropriate nor acceptable.

The club is now more open to visitors and young members’ together with our own female bar staff and the catering staff. The use of bad language was mentioned in the Chairman’s Updates both in October 2020, and July 2021, advising that it is inappropriate and subject to possible action by the Board where there are repeat offenders.

Members are also reminded of club bye-law 2.9 – Only food, soft drinks and intoxicating liquor supplied by the Club is to be consumed on Club premises.

Members are not allowed to bring their own refreshments into the club house when the bar and kitchen are closed. Members are also not allowed behind either the upstairs or downstairs bars. You are allowed to consume your own refreshments outside the club house, or on the course.

Please note that Monday is generally a quiet day, and bar staff arrive early to complete the line cleaning. The bar then opens from 4pm. Bar staff will try and accommodate member requests for bottles, etc., prior to 4pm however please respect and understand that their first priority is the line cleaning.
