Captains Update
April 2022
Dear Members (friends),

On behalf of the Captain,

It is with great pleasure that we both welcome in our new golfing season and we wish all our members every success for your and the Club's golfing year ahead.

A special welcome is extended to our new members. We are sure you will enjoy The Parc and we hope you make the most of the Club’s facilities and support the club at the social events that are held throughout the year.

We both hope to have a really successful golfing year, representing you and our club.
I would like to thank the Hicks Family and all the Staff at Parc who have welcomed me into this honoured role as Captain for 2022/23 Season. Also to all of you the Members for your continued support to my Captaincy of the Parc Golf Club.

Congratulations to Dan Difranco and Joe Swan for winning this year’s Winter League Competition, it was a close final match that went all the way to the last hole. Rhys “Chainsaw” Mcdonagh and Nicky Day were never going to give up their throne easily. Great effort and commitment by all competitors in braving the winter conditions.

As Brian has stated in his last email we at Parc Golf Club are proud to be “One Club” Equal Members and long may this continue. We start the white tee competition season off with Captain’s Breakfast on Saturday 30th April 2022. A free bacon roll is available to all competitors on the day. There will be a nearest the pin in two on the 15th hole and nearest the pin on the 18th hole.

We are now entering the time of year when Team golf is about to start, at Parc Golf Club we cater for all levels of Handicaps so please come and talk to me or any of the Staff who will direct you to the people to talk to if you wish to play and represent Parc in these events. Good luck to all our teams and a big thank you to the captains and organisers.

One Last thing before I sign off you will see changes happening around the course from upgrading areas or maintenance work from Rhys and his team, please respect the signs and the team who are conducting the work. (We all have a responsibility to up hold the standard we expect to see).

In ending we will once again both wish you all an enjoyable year of golf and would like to thank you all for your support, friendship, and encouragement.

Happy golfing!
Lewy & Karen

***HANDICAP CARDS***

Members looking to obtain their first handicap now have the opportunity to mark some cards and submit to us for review. You will need to submit sufficient cards to provide scores for 54 holes of golf. Once you have submitted these scores the Handicap Committee will allocate you a handicap.

For those members who don't wish to enter competitions they can still complete WHS qualifying rounds which will ensure their handicap is appropriate to their current playing ability. Please advise that you wish to complete a General Score before starting your round. Cards must be returned immediately after the round to Pro Shop Staff.
