Fourth year running for Sussex Seniors
Sussex Seniors County Team qualified for the fourth year running to represent the South-east region in the National finals at Grange Park, St. Helens in October. Having been runners-up the last three years, losing to Yorkshire (2) & Lancashire by the narrowest of margins on all three occasions.
Martin Galway & Steve Graham finish 2nd in the individuals with 73-72 (+1) with Doug Park 75-74 (+5) , Paul Plant & Roy Stephenson were in the squad as non-playing reserves.
Sussex won by 17 shots against 11 counties, which included Surrey who could call upon 2 current England Internationals.
