The second Ruddington Grange Par 3 Masters competition was played on Wednesday. The weather was fantastic and with a format which members enjoyed from last years event.

73 members from all club sections took part with a mixed bag of scores ranging from a hole in one to a 9! Congratulations to Nick Cavanagh for making his hole in one of the 9th to a tricky pin position.

I was fortunate enough to play with the winner Simon Moorhouse, who scored a 2 under par gross 25 and a nett score of 23. The holed putt from the front left of the green to that back flag was an indiction that it maybe his day on the greens.

In close second was William Smith from the Seniors section, with an impressive score of nett 24 and Brian Hatley snatching 3rd position on count back with nett 26. Simon will receive our very own embroided green jacket, that hopefully can be presented soon from last years winner Matt Barker and alongside social distancing guidelines.
