Creating a Warm Welcome for Everyone
Royal Guernsey Golf Club is moving forward with a strategy that will see it have a sustainable and secure future.
As a part of this strategy we want all our members, visitors and guests, new or old, to feel welcome when they come to use the facilities at this great Club.
Recently we have welcomed a number of new members into the Club. To help our new members feel comfortable and to integrate into the Club we need to do more and to do this we need your help.
We want to start by creating a ‘Buddy System’. We would like to create a list of ‘buddies’ who would be willing to take new members onto the golf course and show them around. A ‘buddy’ can be a single player, a couple or even a group.
If you would like to become a ‘buddy’ and have some time to take new members out onto the golf course please contact Roy or Lindsay in the office and let them know your preferred times to play. The office or the pro-shop will then contact you should they have a new member wishing to play.
There is also the social aspect of joining a new golf club. We are asking that all our members become ‘Social Ambassadors’ of Royal Guernsey Golf Club. If you see a new face in the Clubhouse or around the Club please take time to say hello, perhaps even join them for a drink, this will go a long way to making someone new feel welcome.
As a ‘Social Ambassador’ we would like you to also promote the Club outside of the confines of the golf club. Let your friends and family know how good it is to be a member, let them know how the Club is moving forward and encourage them to get involved.
