Paul Plant retains Sussex Veterans Trophy
ESN member, Paul Plant too hot for the opposition at Piltdown!
Paul Plant successfully defend his Sussex Veterans trophy at a sun baked Piltdown Golf Club, the hottest day of the year did not deter the Sussex County Player from back-to back wins.
His winning round of 70 +2 contained just the 2 bogies on the 4th & 5th , but he then played superb golf to reel off 13 straight pars for a winning total.
He round could have been so much better if he could have converted five 10ft or less birdie chances on the 1st, 2nd, 9th, 12th and 14th, but all narrowly missed.
