Here are the updates after the weekend, not too many today:


JOKER:
Ann O’Neill’s envelope was pulled from the Joker drum this week. Ann selected the Number 25 and when opened it revealed the Ace of Diamonds, winning Ann €100. The lucky wine winners were Shona Rogers, Lena Reynolds and Nigel Harris. Next week’s Jackpot is €1,700.


INTERCLUB:
Bad week this week on the Interclub scene with a number of our teams crashing out.
The Elm Park Super Seniors were defeated by Kilcock on Friday 2-3.
The Fred Perry team were beaten by Westmanstown on Saturday 1.5 to 3.5 which was the same score that the JB Carr team were beaten by on Sunday against Greenore.
Unfortunately, the Ladies Senior Foursomes team, failed to make the cut at their qualifying event in Beaverstown.
This weekend is a busy one for the ladies teams with The Revive Active team taking on Rathcore on Saturday at 3pm. They have 2 matches at home and 3 away.
Both the Minor Cup and Challenge Cup teams are in action in Carton House on Sunday with the Minor Cup team playing against Headfort at 2:30 and the Challenge Cup team playing Ashbourne @ 3:15.
Finally on Saturday, the Jimmy Bruen team have their stroke play qualifying event in Kilcock at 12:30 where they hope to qualify for the match play element which takes place on the Sunday.

LADIES SENIORS OPEN:
In conjunction with the Ladies Senior Opens on Thursdays, the Rita Carbery Memorial Plate will be played for. This competition is sponsored by Marie Doherty and is open to all ladies over the age of 50. The winner will be the lady with the best eight cards submitted in the Thursday Senior Open competitions between now and October, when winter rules will commence.


GOLD MEDAL:
Next Sunday's Medal gives the men an opportunity to qualify for the GUI gold medal competition final to be held at the K Club on Tuesday 8th of October. The winner of each category: O - 9, 10 - 17, 18+ will qualify for the regional final which will be held in August. The regional winners, 3 in each category, will go forward to K Club. There is no extra cost for this.
