Friendly County Match v Fife County
at Ladybank GC
Most of the squad at last took part in a friendly match, after the disappointment of the previous weekend when the practice was cancelled at Gleddoch due to the weather.

8 players took part against Fife County, where Captain Lorna Bennett had very kindly arranged the match at Ladybank GC. The course was in very good condition for this time of year, and despite the howling wind, the sun shone and there was no rain.

The top game saw Megan Briggs and Carol Whyte narrowly edged out on the 17th by Elaine Moffat and Susan Jackson, but the other 3 games were won. Special mention goes to Romy Erskine of Kilmacolm, who took part in her first outing with the Squad. Partnered by Gillian Kyle, Romy fitted in very well as they won their match 5 & 4.

Julie Wilson and Alyson McGinnigle continued their good partnership by winning 3 & 1, as did Donna Jackson and Liz Stewart (winning 3 & 2).

To top off the day, the team enjoyed a lovely meal in the Clubhouse, so all in all it was an excellent start to the season. Our thanks go to Captain Lorna Bennet, Vice Captain Elsie Hutcheon and all involved at Ladybank GC.
