Chairman's Ladder -week 15 results
Mark Earley's back at No.1
A field of 42 played today in lovely conditions, a slight breeze and sunshine with some fantastic games. Proud Mancunian, Mark Earley is thrilled to be back on top of the ladder, he was helped by the absence of Simon Burton, but took his chance and defeated Jon Stern in a close match.

Mark is a life long Manchester Utd fan and once hoped to be playing at Old Trafford, he suffered a leg injury early in his football career and was released from their academy team after spending two years with the class of '99.  'I spent many a day on the training pitch showing Beck's how to hit those bendy free-kicks'.  'My fondest memory of those days is a team signed Spear & Jackson no.5 shovel, its a right classic!'

There were some excellent games today, with two matches requiring 4 extra holes to settle the game, with Jordi Southgate requiring 6 birdies to beat Homi Falak on the 22nd. Rob Thompson, Champion in 2017 also required 22 holes to beat Guy Foster.

There was wins for Stuart Catton, Alan Ratcliffe & Don Bennett who have all moved into the top 4, Simon Burton has dropped to 5th and will have to win next week to avoid dropping out of the top ten.

Alex Truffet , Tom Dagwell, Karl Nilchibar, Tom Foreman & Micky Milne are all well placed in the top 20 with opportunities to challenge up next week.

Mark Early,  has opened up a 4 point lead in the league standings from Simon Burton with Alan Ratcliffe & Ian Pagan a further 6 points adrift.

There was only 6 x 2’s, paying £32.50 each
