Simple for Simon as he remains at No.1
Sterling hopes of going to No 1 go for a burton!
There was a small field today as only 36 players braved the damp, cold conditions.

Simon Burton,  defended his No.1 spot again against Simon Wakefield with an emphatic performance, the 5 handicapper was -3 gross at the end of the match to win 7 & 6. Unfortunately, Simon may be a doubt next week and may relinquish his top spot.

There were some excellent matches and the small field provided the opportunity for some players to move up the ladder. Colin Oliver (45) took on and beat Ross White (11) to move to 9th spot.

Mark Earley beat Andy (PXG) Mitchell in a very close game, which was only settled on the 18th green when Earley holed his greenside bunker shot for a winning birdie. Jonathon Stern defeated Charlie Hobden in extra holes to move into 3rd spot. Alan Ratcliffe is back in position to challenge moving up to 5th.

Other movers include Don Bennett and Chris Pardey  up to 11th & 13th respectively. Stuart Catton is now up to 10th , the former actor who played the Hulk is causing his own chaos in the ladder and looking to get to No.1  Don't make him angry!

Mark Early,  continues to lead the league standings by a point from Simon Burton, but may have a chance to open up a 4pt lead next week.

There was only 5 x 2’s, paying £33 each
