Gents Chairman's Ladder - week 8
Mark Earley wins thriller
42 members played in breezy conditions today in the Ladder, with only  10 winners from last week, movement was limited.

Mark Earley defeated leader Alan Ratcliffe on the 2nd extra hole in a great game, both players were -6 under par after 18 holes with Mark Earley hitting a 5-iron to 4ft on the Par 5 , 2nd hole for a match-winning eagle 3.  Alan Ratcliffe threw all he had and made 8 birdies in his defeat.

Ian Pagan maintain his position at the top and moved back to 2nd spot after beating Marcus Opoku 2 & 1. The big-hitting Simon Burton, Jonathon Stern, Charlie Hobden & Tom Foreman are all well placed for a Xmas challenge if they can maintain their current form.

Tom Foreman won the battle of the scratch golfers, former professional defeated Sussex County Player, Lee Drew 2 & 1 and recorded two 2 's to bag £82.86p

There was only seven 2's paying £41.23p

The nearest the pins were won by  3rd & 16th Tom Forman, 7th Tony Davis & 13th Harry Clewley.
