East Sussex National Scratch Team into Semi Finals
Another comfortable win for ESN
East Sussex National scratch team went comfortably through to the semi-finals in defence of the trophy they won last year. (Andy Larkin in action)
Having been drawn at home for the forth match running, defeated a very good Royal Eastbourne team 8-4.
They now play Pyecombe GC in the semi-final on neutral venue.
The morning foursomes matches are always key and the team led 3-1 with wins for Matt Hart & Mark Hilton, Dean Plant & Ash Rees and Mark Budd & Steve Graham.
Royal Eastbourne decided to play two of their strongest players at 5 & 6, which ended up being a bad decision as they lost the first 4 matches so the match was over before their points counted.
Well done to all involved and those members who caddied & supported.
