– This Saturday Just a reminder that this Saturday is our Junior Captain Liam Caffyn’s Charity Day, raising money for Breast Cancer UK. I know Liam and his family would like everyone to have a great day, and I hope as many members as possible will get behind him and support this very worthwhile cause. Please remember that entry for this event is £6 — £5 goes towards the charity entry, with £1 for the Two’s Club. I understand that a number of members have very kindly sponsored and donated prizes for the prize table and raffle. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed; your generosity and support are greatly appreciated. We are planning to hold the prize presentation on Saturday as soon as possible after the final players have finished. I believe the last players tee off at around 1.00 pm, so we expect them to be back in the clubhouse at approximately 5.00 pm. We will therefore aim to hold the prize presentation at around 5.30–5.45 pm. It would be greatly appreciated if the winners could be present for the presentation. If you are unable to stay, please arrange for someone to be there to represent you and collect your prize. Most importantly, please, please give Liam and his charity your support this Saturday.
