Ladies Results, Upcoming Work Parties
Ladies Medal Final 43 ladies played in the Medal Final competition on Tuesday. Congratulations to Jayne Barrett for winning the competition with a nett 67. Andrea Cooper came second with a nett 68. Sarah Lee & Caroline Pilbeam both had nett 71's. The full results are attached with today's latest news email. Pinecone Clearing Work Party - Monday 28th September Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to help with our pinecone clearance work party on Monday 28th September. As this is the first day of our greens maintenance programme, the course will be closed for the day and the greenkeeping team and machinery will be fully occupied with maintenance work. We would therefore be very grateful for any additional members who are able to spare some time to help clear pinecones, pine needles and other debris from beneath the trees around the course. The plan is to rake the debris into larger piles, which the greenkeeping team will then collect and remove later in the week. If you are able to bring a rake and/or wheelbarrow, that would be particularly helpful. As the course is closed all day, you are welcome to come along and help at any point during the day. The office will provide guidance on the areas of the course to concentrate on when you arrive. If you haven't already registered but would like to help, please email the office, ideally letting us know roughly what time you expect to arrive. Thank you in advance for your support, any time you are able to give will be greatly appreciated. Divot Party - Change of Date Please note that our Divoting Work Party, originally scheduled for Monday 5th October, has been rearranged and will now take place on Monday 12th October from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the change of date. We have also slightly revised the plan for the evening. We will concentrate our divoting efforts on the holes most in need of attention, while the remaining volunteers will help the greenkeeping team to fill some of the sunken drainage channels around the course. The greenkeeping team will be working alongside the volunteers and will organise everyone into groups and provide guidance on the areas to concentrate on. As previously planned, sausage and mash will be served in the clubhouse afterwards as a thank you to everyone for their help. Thank you to all those who have already volunteered. We have contacted those members separately to advise them of the change of date. If you haven't yet registered but would like to join us on Monday 12th October, please email the office. Any time you are able to give will be greatly appreciated.
