STAGS Away Day @ Harwich & Dovercourt
Williams Wins by One
The STAGS held their Autumn Away Day at Harwich and Dovercourt on Monday 21st September.
On a beautiful, hot, sunny day only 3 of the 21 players managed to score 36 points or more.
Mel Williams came out on top with an excellent 37 points on a tricky and long (for us) course. Runner-up on countback was Alan Porter on 36, just pipping Gerry Ablett with a better back 9.
Best front nine was wone by Rob Haste (on countback) from Paul Adams with 16 points, and the best back nine was 22 points by Laurence Dalziel.
Tony Bullard won nearest the pin on the awkward 7th/16th.
