Rain lashed down on the drive to Tavistock Golf Club for the second and deciding leg of our Stocker Wedge match. Thankfully, while the weather did its best to dampen spirits, it certainly did not rain on our parade. Following a comfortable 4.5 to 1.5 victory at home, our Seniors travelled to Tavistock with a healthy advantage and successfully completed the job with an excellent 3 to 3 result away from home. A special thank you goes to my Vice-Captain, John Butterworth, and Martin Every, who secured the first full point of the day. The second full point came courtesy of Nigel Goode and Chris Bird, who also remembered to bring the Stocker Wedge trophy back from EDGC with them (pictured). The overall result means that our Seniors have once again won and retained the Stocker Wedge, continuing a proud recent record in this fixture. Winning has become a habit, and we fully intend to keep it that way. Expect more of the same next year!
