Gents Bainbridge Shield - 2026 Season Final Update The Bainbridge season has come to a close after a gruelling 9 matches against the rest of the Union golf clubs. The club’s team has performed extremely well and won 7 out of 9 games with the final game being played at Skipton Golf Club on Tuesday 4 August. Ours was the final game of the league and we entered it knowing we needed a half (6-6 draw) at worst to secure 2nd place in the League. After some very good golf we ended the final game with a 9-3 victory away from home. We ended the season with 7 wins and only 2 losses. Our congratulations go to Rudding Park who have been undefeated this season and ran away deserved champions. My sincere thanks go to the players who have represented the club with the usual cheerfulness and hardy attitude, the team spirit has been exceptional and it has been my honour and privilege to lead the team this season.
