Annual Course Maintenance Week Begins Monday
Essential annual maintenance works will help ensure the long-term health, playability and quality of the golf course.
Next week the Greens Team will begin our annual Course Maintenance Week, an essential part of the Club's long-term programme to maintain the health and quality of the golf course. The main focus of the week will be the DryJect treatment of all greens, with approximately 30 tonnes of topdressing sand injected into the rootzone to improve air and moisture movement while helping to manage organic matter levels. Tees and green surrounds will also be aerated, with only minimal scarification undertaken due to the continued dry conditions, before all treated areas receive the appropriate nutrition to promote a strong recovery. In response to the prolonged dry weather, fairway scarification has been postponed until ground conditions are more suitable, and overseeding of the greens has also been deferred to avoid placing unnecessary stress on the surfaces. We appreciate your patience while these essential works are carried out. Although there may be some short-term disruption, this annual programme is a vital investment in the long-term condition and performance of the golf course.
