We can provide you all with an update on planned events to celebrate the Club's 150th anniversary in 2027. Some dates are still to be confirmed and we will advise of any further updates. Confirmed dates Start of year Social event - Lennon & McCartney Tribute Act, Saturday 27th February 2027 Pro Am - Shotgun start - Friday 18th June 150th Anniversary All Category Weekend Friday 16th - Sunday 18th July: Anniversary Trophies for best Gross and Net for Gents, Juniors and Ladies. Gents and Youths County Championship, Sunday 25th July, with subsequent matchplay on week-nights of August 2nd, 3rd & 5th (matchplay will be minimum disruption to members). Events with dates to be confirmed Display of Club's Documents and Photographs celebrating the history of AGC. A chance for members to browse the history and socialise in Clubhouse. Sportsman's Dinner with special celebrity speaker (availability to be confirmed for a suitable date) Anniversary Celebration Dinner Dance (likely to be later in the season) Past Captains and Past Champions events. There will be further events that require less planning; further updates will be provided. Sponsorship We have already secured sponsorship from a number of companies, to whom we are extremely grateful, and we are pursuing further opportunities in this regard to assist in the events and celebrations. Several types of sponsorship packages are being prepared and will be distributed soon to potential sponsors. We will of course notify existing club sponsors of these opportunities as a priority.
