on Thursday 2nd July our Beaumont team of. Tony Jackson, Andy McCann, Wayman Arundle, Joe Mcmurray, Tony Wren, Martin Farrow, Martin Pestle and Andy Podd Played their quarter final tie at home to Thorpeness. After winning the previous round with the last putt of the game made by Martin Pestle we were hoping for a less nerve racking game. Thankfully everyone played their part in contributing to an overall 6 hole win though a special mention must go to Tony Jackson and Andy McCann who after the first hole went 1 down but by the time they walked off the 18th green had turned the deficit around to a 9 hole win and between them had a better ball score of a gross 74!!! So its onwards and upwards to the semi finals to be played on August 6th (Match is against Southwold - playing at Rookery) where hopefully another win will be attained to get us into the finals.
