The Second round of the Silver Jubilee took place on Wednesday 17th June. The Team representing Gorleston were Gail ,Jannette, Vera, Kinza, Pauline, Linda, Ros and Sonia travelled to Thorpeness to play Fynn Valley in the second round knockout. The weather started off quite cloudy but got hotter as the game progressed. The Gorleston team knew that they had a hard match ahead of them, playing Fynn Valley, who were last years winners of the Shield. As the morning progressed Fynn Valley played some good golf and at half way they were ahead in every match. However Gorleston came back strongly on the second nine, but despite pulling back several holes , they eventually lost 3 and a half to one half points.
