Seniors Frank Keen Results

77 men played in the Seniors Frank Keen Vase competition yesterday. Congratulations to Chris Seaton for winning the competition with 41 points. James Thornhill came second with 38 points with Gerard Cashman in third with 37 points. The full results are attached with today's latest news email.

The nearest the pins were won by the following players:

10th – Grahame Laker
15th – Simon Hughes

The nearest the pin winners each have a bottle of wine to collect from the office.

Championship Weekend – 6th & 7th June

Entry numbers are slightly down on previous years for the Championship Weekend which is taking place on 6th and 7th June. Entries were due to close at 6 pm tonight, but I have now extended this to 9 am on Monday to give anyone else a chance to sign up. The start sheets will then be sent out on Monday afternoon.

Championship Weekend - 6th & 7th June

Our Championship Weekend is fast approaching and the competitions are now open for entries. Registration for both the Men's & Ladies competitions are live on the HowDidiDo App. On the home screen of the App, go to ‘view all competitions’ then scroll down until you see either the Bert Reid or the Ladies Strokeplay Championship.

The following competitions will take place.

Men’s Bert Reid Trophy & Plate 2026
Ladies Strokeplay Championship 2026

These are 36-hole events so you are entering both days. There is no option to only play one of the days.

Men's Bert Reid Trophy & Plate 2026

The Men's Bert Reid Trophy & Plate 2026 is open to Male Members, played in 3 balls, with a playing handicap limit of 24.
Registration - Male Members can sign up into a Zone. From this, we will conduct a draw and place people within the Zone they requested.

Please note, there is an issue with the app, and it is only allowing you to sign up to a zone on the Saturday. When you try to go to the start sheet for the Sunday, the Saturday zones appear again. To get around this, please sign up to your Saturday zone, then email us on sec@bognorgolfclub.co.uk to let us know which zone you would like to be in on the Sunday. We will manually add you to the Sunday zone.

Saturday Zones
Zone 1 - 7am - 8:50am
Zone 2 - 9am - 10:20am
Zone 3 - 12 Midday - 3pm

Sunday Zones
Zone 1 - 7am - 8:50am
Zone 2 - 9am - 10:20am
Zone 3 - 10:30am - 11:50am

Please note that the men with the lowest 12 scratch scores on Saturday will have their tee times changed to play in the last 4 tee times (in reverse score order) on the Sunday. This may mean some minor changes to other players tee times, a final version of the start sheet for Sunday will be emailed out on the Saturday evening when all scores are in. The tee times for the final 4 groups will approximately be 1:40pm - 2:10pm. These are subject to change slightly.

Ladies Strokeplay Championship

The Ladies Strokeplay Championship is open to Lady Members, played in 3 balls, with a playing handicap limit of 36.
Registration - Lady Members can sign up for the competition into the one and only Zone. The draw for Saturday's round will be produced in Handicap Order. The draw for the 2nd round will be based on the best scores from the 1st round.

For the Ladies Strokeplay Championship the tee times will be between 10:30am - 11:50am for Round 1 and between 12 Midday - 1:30pm for Round 2.
