Preferred Lies — Now Off

As of 8th May, preferred lies are no longer in operation. The course is in good shape and we are pleased to be playing the ball as it lies.

There are still some areas affected by badger damage and tractor ruts. These are covered under the Rules of Golf as areas from which relief may be taken - please agree this with your playing partners and take relief at the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.

A Few Reminders.

Greenkeeper right of way — as noted at the clubhouse entrance, greenkeeping staff have right of way on the course during maintenance operations. Please wait until a greenkeeper has cleared an area before playing any shots in their direction.

Pitch marks and bunkers — please repair your pitch mark on the greens, and any others nearby. Please also rake bunkers thoroughly after use. Both take only a moment but make a real difference to the course for everyone.

Pace of play — please be mindful of pace during busy periods. If your group falls behind, allow faster groups to play through where possible.
