Midweek Stableford Results,Evening League vs Cowdray (Away)
Midweek Stableford Results
64 members played in the Midweek Stableford competition yesterday.
Congratulations to Matt Dye for winning Division 1 with 39 points. Stephen Brown finished in second place with 38 points, with Barry O’Brien third on 36 points.
In Division 2, Eddie Smith took top spot with 38 points. Mushtak Girach finished second with 37 points, and Shaun Taylor was third with 35 points.The full results are attached.
Evening League vs Cowdray (Away) – Wednesday 29th April 2026
The second fixture for the Evening League 2026 was played at Cowdray Park last night. A tough course regardless of the weather, but yesterday’s brisk wind made it a proper challenge when combining that with fast greens and runoff areas.
We travelled with a strong team and were hopeful of a positive result against a predictably strong Cowdray side.
Unfortunately, we came off second best and lost the fixture 3.5-1.5. A quick shout out to Tim Robinson and Dave Leach for fighting back from 4 down at the turn to halve their match!
Putting the scoreline aside, it was a very pleasant evening, played in the right spirit and then topped off with a nice curry.
Thanks to all who played and, in one case, stepped in at the last minute.
