The 9 hole stableford competition attracted 16 players, nine of whom were home players.
There were three categories, ages 7 - 8, 9 – 10 and 11 – 12.
Ralph Neal claimed a victory for Gorleston in the first group, with Max Leuty winning the second group. Both boys played brilliantly and will go forward to round two, representing our club.
Congratulations to Ralph and Max! A superb result.
Well done to all who entered. The standard was extremely high.
It was great to have the Club Captain, Cliffy, on the first tee to announce the young golfers as they started their matches, and to award the players with their medals.
Thanks to Tony Marsham, who kept a close eye on players by the 5th hole. Also Max Farman and our Junior Captain Harrison Young were on hand to help with the running of the competition.
A successful day for Gorleston Golf Club and we all wish Max and Ralph the best of luck in the next round.
