Kirk Rosebowl Medal – Wednesday 22nd April
The second round of the Kirk Rosebowl Medal qualifiers took place in better conditions albeit with a biting easterly wind. A fantastic playing field of 125 in which Omar Patel took leading qualifying spot.
In the Division One competition Michael Cassaly took the honours with a gross 74 which gave a net 68, a shot clear of Stephen Barkey who took second spot.
Michael had equal halves of 37 helped with birdies at 11 & 16.
Stephen was out in 39 and came home in level 35, a card with no fewer than 15 pars!
Michael was not entered into the sweep so Stephen won £16.90 for first place in the sweep and Dean Brown picked up £9.10.
Congratulations guys.
In Division 2, Gordon More and Stewart McKay needed to go to a card play-off. Both players in with net 68. Gordon coming out on top.
Gordon was out in 41 before returning in 40 with 10 pars on the card.
Stewart was out in 39 and returned in 41 and also carded 10 pars.
Div. 2 Countback details for 1st place were.

Stewart McKay 68 35 21 11 2nd
Gordon won £33.15 for first place in the sweep and Stewart picked up the second place sweep money of £17.85.
In Division 3, Omar Patel took top spot and leading qualifier with a net score of 63 beating second placed Lee Jervis by seven shots.
Omar went out in 41 and returned in 45 with 8 pars on the card.
Lee went out in 44 and returning in 43 for gross 87 net 70. Lee with a birdie at the 4th helping the cause.
Omar won £24.05 for first place in the sweep and Lee picked up £12.95.
There were four players to record a birdie on the 15th hole and take home £22.80 in the 2’s sweep.
