Captain's Drive-In Results

Dear Member

I just wanted to thank everyone who turned out for my drive in and made it such a special day for me, Nicola and my family. We were overwhelmed by the support and good wishes and I hope you enjoyed the beautiful sunny day as much as we did. No one was surprised as much as I was to hit my first shot so well, and congratulations to Alan Fitzgerald for guessing the distance of 242 yards (a world record I believe!). Alan wins £62 on his swipe card, with £62 going to the Captain's charity.

My thanks to everyone behind the scenes at the club for working so hard, and also to my vice Captain Matthew and his wife Jill for entertaining us prior to the drive in. It was probably the few glasses of bubbly that settled me down for the first shot! Also to Olly Longlands at SINK Golf for hand crafting the prizes.

We have an exiting golf and social calendar ahead, lots of opportunities to raise money for my Charity Parkinson’s UK, and I look forward to working with Caroline and Peter our other Captains during the year.

The minutes of the AGM are attached with today's latest news email. Please note, the minutes contain copies of the reports given by the Chairman, outgoing Captain and incoming Captain. The Finance Directors report was delivered with a powerpoint presentation, a copy of which is also attached.

Snooker
