Seniors Open Texas Scramble
Success for Swanston pair
Despite the recent rainfall, including 7mm overnight, the course held up well. Thankfully the rain kept away but the cold wind gave it more of a Winter feel than Spring but that didn’t stop some great golf being played, especially from our winners, Andy Hunter and Alex McKenzie from Swanston. Andy and Alex had 6 birdies in a gross 65. Playing off a handicap of 5 their winning score of 60 was 3 shots better than the team in second place, Justin White (Kingsknowe) and Paul Morton (Harrison). Justin and Paul just pipped Karl Conway (Harburn) and Davy Arnott (Leven) thanks to a better last 6 holes countback of 19 compared to 20. Fourth place went to Brian Henderson and Stuart Wilson (Kinross) with a 64 finishing just ahead of Alister Ferguson (Drumoig) and Robert Stewart (Tulliallan) thanks to a better inward half of 30.

The results were:

1st - A Hunter/A McKenzie (Swanston) 60 £100 each

2nd - J White (Kingsknowe)/P Morton (Harrison) 63 (bih 31,19) £75 each

3rd - K Conway (Harburn)/D Arnott (Leven) 63 (bih 31,20) £50 each

4th - B Henderson/S Wilson (Kinross) 64 (bih 30) £40 each

5th - A Ferguson (Drumoig)/R Stewart (Tulliallan) 64 (bih 31) £25 each

Congratulations to all winners.
