Clubhouse Security
Dear Members

Unfortunately we had another intruder access the clubhouse and bar area on Saturday night. We were fortunate that there were members around and he was asked to leave. This is the second incident of this kind in less than a year and is understandably causing alarm for our bar staff.
We are currently looking into a new, more secure door entry system for the main front door and the ladies and gents locker room doors.

In the meantime we have to stress to members the need to close all doors behind them and NOT to leave them on the latch.
Shutter
In addition, for extra security the shutter to the gents locker room may be pulled down in the evening. If that is the case, members can access the gents locker room via the main front door.
The bar staff have also been instructed that should they be the only person in the clubhouse, they should lock the door from the inside. If the door is locked when you are trying to gain access, please ring the bell and you will be given access.

Front Door
Also, we request that the green button is NOT used commonly to open the main front door when exiting - it's for emergency use only (fire, etc), prevents the electronic lock from operating, and needs re-setting every time it's used.
* Please use the one that looks like a light switch.

The safety of our staff is our number one priority and we ask that all members do their utmost to ensure the clubhouse remains secure at all times.
