Taking full advantage of the favourable weather conditions, the team carried out the full programme of works efficiently and ahead of schedule. The process included verti-cutting the greens, tining, overseeding, top dressing, and rolling. Ensuring each stage was completed to a high standard within the planned weekly programme.
As the greens begin to recover, we will see signs of improvement. Over the coming weeks, members and visitors should notice continued enhancements in surface quality, consistency, and overall playability.
Thank you for your patience during this essential maintenance work, we look forward to everyone enjoying the benefits very soon.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, we are pleased to confirm that the irrigation system has now been re commissioned. We are optimistic that it will operate without the challenges of last year, with the greens scheduled to receive their first watering tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed.
Looking further into the month, and subject to favourable conditions, we anticipate lifting preferred lies (winter rules) around the 20th of April. This, of course, will depend on the weather, if we have a prolonged wet spell it may require us to review that timing.
Attention will now turn to the tees, which are set to undergo a similar programme of treatment as the greens. However, these works will be carried out in a way that minimises disruption to play.
With these improvements underway, we are confident the course will continue to strengthen and develop, leaving us in excellent condition for the main playing season ahead.
