Despite the tricky conditions we had some excellent scores with 7 players breaking par. A massive well done to Brian Thompson who took top spot with a 3 under par 68 (88-20).
It was a very close contest with Brian winning by a single shot from 3 players. Brian played steady on the front nine going out in net 38 with 2 net birdies. His 32 on the back nine included 3 net 2’s at the 10th, 13th and 15th. Second place on countback goes to Colin MacKenzie (86-17) thanks to a net back nine of 29. Colin struggled on the way out finishing with a net 40 but raced home with 1 net eagle and 4 net birdies. Graeme Scott takes third place, also on countback. Graeme had a mixed day with 3 net eagles and 4 net birdies. Out in 38, he finished net 3,2 for a last 6 hole countback of 17. Also back in 31, Graeme Smith takes fourth place. His last 6 holes total of 21 falling just short, with an expensive double bogey on the 17th.
