On a cold, windy but fortunately dry Friday morning 73 players took part in this annual competition. The course played well, despite the constant rain, new irrigation system and woodland work making life very difficult for Michael and his team. The Seniors Section would like to take this opportunity place on record their thanks and respect to all the greens staff for their commitment and hard work during these last few months.

The photograph shows 2 members of the winning team Kate Hammond and Bob Sharman, with a score of 52.5, with the Captains and President. In second place with a score of 56.7 were Martyn Seal, Dave Vosper, Alan Wain and John Bland. In third place with a score of 57.3 were Steve Steel, Kathy Seal, Geoff Allcock and John Strodachs. Subsequent feedback indicated that it was a successful and enjoyable social day.

Many thanks also to Michael and his staff, to Paul and his staff for the refreshments, Dave and his staff in the Pro Shop and Mark and Hannah in the Office for their help in organising the day.
