It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Honorary Member Gilbert Cox CVO MBE JP.
'Gibby' was a dedicated member of the Club for over 60 years. He was a pillar of our community and he served with immense distinction as Lord-Lieutenant of Lanarkshire, acting as the personal representative of Queen Elizabeth II.
His life was defined by a profound sense of duty, earning him a reputation for integrity, warmth and tireless service to the public. He was known for his quiet wit and presence in the clubhouse and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
