Following a number of recent updates to the new HowDidiDo app, we are pleased to advise you that we've been told the app is now in a much better place..... Improvements are continuing and the next update is scheduled for Wednesday this week.

A couple of the big questions Club Systems keep getting asked are around member contact details not showing in the club directory and members not receiving the same push / email notifications as they received before.

Club systems have asked us to share the below:

"Due to GDPR legislation, members have never given HowDidiDo permission to show their contact details. Rather than transfer previous settings from the ClubV1 Members Hub and old HowDidiDo, the decision was made that we would rather play it safe and ask members to re-share their contact details, if they wish to do so, as well as update their preferences for push/email notifications.

In order to update their preferences, members need to go into the new app and follow the steps below:

1 - Click the profile button in the top right-hand corner (the circle with your image in if you have uploaded an image).
2 - Click on Preferences.
3 – Select which push notifications you wish to receive.
4 – Click on Email at the top.
5 – Select which email communications you wish to receive.
6 – Click on Privacy at the top.
7 – Select which contact details you wish to show.

Members may also wish to update their contact details that the club hold, if they have changed.

They can do this by following the steps below:

1 - Click the profile button in the top right-hand corner.
2 – Click on Profile Details.
3 – Update any details which are not correct.
4 – Click “Submit to Linked Club(s)”.

This will then send a “Member Request” through to the club, which administrators will need to accept before the details are updated. (Please note, the club will not always accept this, if the layout is outside the normal layout requirements the club has - especially applicable to Mobile Phones)
