Our weather station forecast provider is currently predicting a further 7.6mm of rain on Thursday and 12.2mm on Friday, which will add further pressure to already saturated ground conditions.
These measures continue to be necessary to prevent longer-term damage to playing surfaces as we move towards the spring.
We fully understand how these restrictions limit members’ access to the course and we very much appreciate everyone’s patience during this period. These decisions are not made lightly, and the measures will be lifted as soon as conditions allow.
The following will apply until further notice (they will be reviewed Monday Morning):
• Temporary tee positions and various extreme weather holes will remain in use
• The 14th hole will remain closed, with the old 13th continuing as the alternative
• Casual rounds (rounds for handicap purpose) will continue to be restricted under these arrangements
Competitions
The Men’s Midweek Medal – Thursday 5th February will be played as a non-qualifier. The restriction on 4-balls prior to 14:30 will not apply tomorrow. Starting boards must be strictly adhered to.
The Elders Winter Meeting tee times will remain, with the competitors have been contacted directly around format.
Sunday’s Men’s 4BBB will go ahead but will be played under the current course conditions.
Daily decisions regarding course access, trolleys and buggies will continue to be communicated via the website and Members Hub app.
Thank you again for your continued understanding while we do what is necessary to protect the course for the months ahead.
Kind regards,
James Turner
