Course Update, New App Updates, Lost Pitching Wedge
Course Update
Since the rainfall in the early hours of this morning, the weather has been kind and the winds have helped to dry the surfaces out. We are hopeful that barring any heavy rainfall overnight tonight, the course will be open tomorrow. Please check the course status in the morning for the latest update.
New App Updates
We have received the following news from Club Systems about an update that will be happening to the new HowDidiDo app over this weekend.
Push Notifications
Whilst in-app notifications have been displaying this week, push notifications have remained disabled. We have now completed this work and they will be re-enabled in this weekend’s update to the app.
In advance of this going live, all notifications will automatically be set to “No”. Members will need to go into Preferences and set which kind of notifications they wish to receive.
1 – Click on the image in the top right corner of the home screen to access their profile.
2 – Click preferences.
3 – You will automatically load into “Push”.
4 – Select which notifications they want to receive.
Course Status
Following user feedback, we have changed the positioning of the Status Drawer. If a status has been updated in the previous 48 hours, the status drawer will appear above tee booking, below balances, so it is in immediate view when you log in. If the status has not been updated within 48 hours, it will display in its current position (below competitions, above timeline). This will be released in this weekend’s app update.
Contact Details being available in the directory
As members have never previously given permission to HowDidiDo to display contact information, they will need to set these preferences up again. To do this, they will need to follow the steps below:
1 – Click on the image in the top right corner of the home screen to access their profile.
2 – Click preferences
3 – Click privacy
4 – Select which data they want to display.
A note from the club - we have previously recommended to members that they set their privacy settings to show some contact information in the directory. This is particularly relevant for when it comes to arranging knockout matches.
Lost Pitching Wedge
A ladies Callaway Pitching Wedge was lost on the course over the last few weeks. If you picked it up and forgot to hand it in, please can you hand it in to the Pro Shop. Many thanks.
