For those fairly new to the club and for those who might have forgotten (it has been canceled the last two years due to weather) here's a reminder of our traditional New Years Day Comp:

The Overlander - New Years Day - Thursday 1st January 2026

As is tradition, the Over-lander will take place on New Years Day. A fun competition played in 'high spirit' As follows:

9 HOLES - SHOTGUN START

£5 per player Entry Fee

A FOUR-BALL EIGHTSOME

Pairs will be selected from those present - divided into Rabbit's & Tigers. (High - Low Hcaps)
Guests are welcome at a cost of £10 + £5 entry.
Foursomes pairs played in groups of eight with a stroke allowance of half combined handicap INDEX.

Course Card:

Hole 1 = 1st Tee to 13th Green
Hole 2 = 14th Tee to 17th Green
Hole 3 = 18th tee to 12th Green
Hole 4 = 13th tee to 10th Green
Hole 5 = 10th (yellow) tee to 8th Green
Hole 6 = 12th Tee to 4th Green
Hole 7 = 3rd Tee to 16th Green
Hole 8 = 17th tee to 15th Green
Hole 9 = 16th tee to 18th Green

RULES
1. Where a ball is deemed lost or out of bounds a pair may drop another ball either at the point of loss or at the point of entry to the area of loss, incurring a penalty of one shot.
2. Both the practice ground and the car park are out of bounds when playing hole number 6
3. All putts of length less than the shaft of a normal putter are deemed to be conceded.
4. In the event of a tie the winners shall be decided by count-back over the last 3 holes (or more if necessary)

Please Just turn up before 09:30 if you are sober!

DRAW FOR PAIRS AT 09:30
TEE OFF at 10:00 - Shot-Gun Start
The Kitchen is closed all day but the bar will be open following play.
