Men's Team Event Results, Quiz Night Report
Men's Team Event Results
91 men played in the team event competition on Sunday. The format was 1 score to count on holes 1-6, 2 scores on holes 7-12 and 3 scores on holes 13-18. Congratulations to the team of Dean Gilchrist, Chris Shelton, Matt Dye and Ross Akmenkalns for winning with 84 points. Paul Hill, Blair Stevenson, Bob Forshaw and Stuart Bell came second with 83 points. The full results are attached with today's latest news email.
Hicko's Christmas Quiz Report
Saturday night saw the final Hicko Quiz for 2025 with 16 teams vying for the top spot with many Christmassy rounds to test the skill and cunning of the teams. The eventual winners were Steve and Suzie King with Keith and Vivienne Argent with everyone else in hot pursuit.
Everyone one a prize with a pot of apple jelly, to sweeten the roast pork on Boxing Day, added to each pair. Yummy.
The Festive Buffet was excellent thanks to Simon and his team who have provided such excellent fare for all the quizzes and all our fantastic events throughout the year in brilliant fashion.
Zoe was the scorer who worked very hard with an Excel Spreadsheet which has a mind of its own. She ensured that we had scores on the board. I was very grateful for her expertise and calm assurance of success.
We have four Quizzes in 2026 and I hope that we have as much fun on those nights as we had at this super dooper event.
