Scoring was particularly hot at this year’s Mike Hannaby Festive Pairs, with around half the field finishing under par in the 16-hole shotgun start event, with some impressive golf on display.

Adding to the occasion, many members embraced the festive spirit by donning their customary Christmas jumpers, giving the day a warm and cheerful atmosphere enjoyed by all.

The winning pair, and deserved recipients of the Mike Hannaby Trophy, were Richard Shaw and Ian Fletcher, who produced a magnificent 38 points over 16 holes. Finishing first meant they were also first to the prize table and had the pick of the prizes.

In second place were Peter Harland and Tracey Lund with a fine score of 37 points. Completing the podium in third place on 36 points was the pairing of Junior Captain Zac Smith and Lady Captain Gail Godfrey, a great performance and a pleasure to see one of our Junior members finishing high up the leaderboard.
