Winter Course Protection Measures
Keeping the course open and in good playing condition
Important Note on Motorised Buggy and Trolley Usage

Dear Members [and Visiting Players],

As we move into the wetter periods of the season, we would like to issue a friendly reminder regarding the use of motorised buggies and trolleys on the course.

The health of our fairways and greens is paramount, and improper use of buggies and trolleys, particularly in damp or wet conditions, can cause significant damage and compaction.

Please observe the following guidelines at all times:

1. Check Course Status: Before playing, please check Club V1 or at the Pro Shop for the daily course status. Buggies may be temporarily prohibited altogether if conditions are deemed too wet and their use is likely to cause longer term damage. On some occasions we may need to go to carry bags only to keep the course in play and or allow time for recovery from intensive usage.

2. Follow Designated Paths: Where paths are provided, please use them. At all times, avoid driving buggies within 30 feet of greens and tees unless necessary for access and never drive through roped-off or marked GUR areas.

3. Use Common Sense: If an area is clearly waterlogged or unusually soft, please divert to less wet routes [semi-rough] park the buggy/trolley and walk to your ball.

4. Avoid: Excessive braking and or sharp turns which cause rutted and compacted areas susceptible to long-term damage.

5. Additional options: To further protect our course please use winter wheels for trolleys. If you are able to, please consider carrying your bag although note we reserve the right to mandate carry bags.

As the course recovers from the drought period, your cooperation helps ensure it remains open as much as possible, remains in the best possible condition for everyone to enjoy and helps prepare well for next season.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
