Winter Mat rule addendum
Mats must be used for all iron play off teeing areas
Dear Members
As an addendum to the winter ruling of compulsory use of fairway mats we ask all Iron play off teeing areas is also played from either the main tee mats, or, if none in play at any holes, that you use your own mat.
Last winter there were a number of large divots on our tees due to players playing Irons without mats.
This winter this is not acceptable.
We will take strong action against any player(s) identified not following this ruling.
Our course is still in exceptional condition - please let common sense prevail and keep our tees and fairways in good condition throughout the winter.
