Preparing for Winter Golf
Dear Members,
As we move into the winter season, please find below all the key information regarding the Winter Course setup at Wheatley Golf Club.
Course Setup
The Winter Course will be in play from Saturday 1st November.
• Gents: Winter Tees (Yellow markers) – Par 69
Please use the new Gents Winter Course scorecard.
• Ladies: Red Tees remain the same as summer – Par 74
Continue to use the summer scorecard.
Local Rules & Handicap Qualifying
• Fairway Mats:
• Must be used on closely mown areas only.
• The course will remain qualifying for handicap purposes (supplementary and club competitions).
• When submitting a supplementary score via My EG app, please select:
• “Gents Winter Course” for Gents
• “Red Tees” for Ladies
Fairway Mats Collection:
• Pick up a mat from the box on the 1st tee and return it to the drop-off box on the 18th green.
• The Professional Shop also stocks the award-winning Spurk Fairway Mats for purchase if you prefer your own.
Course & Safety Reminders
• GUR / No Play Zones: All Play Prohibited (PP) areas are classed as Ground Under Repair.
Please take full relief and avoid walking on these areas where possible.
• Buggies & Trolleys: Follow roped-off routes at all times to help protect the course.
• Course Status: Updated daily by the Green Staff on the ClubV1 Members App.
Ongoing Course Work
• New Winter Tees: Currently under construction on Holes 2 & 16, with an estimated completion date of 7th November.
• New No-Play Zone: A newly landscaped area has been created between holes 10 & 18, with drop zones provided for relief.
