Today we hosted Chorleywood Snrs in our last home match of the season. The weather was favourable and the course was in excellent condition.
Sadly, Chorleywood were unable to field 12 players but our very own Neill Fowler was happy to play for the away team ... As we sat having tea & biscuits before the start, Neill was chanting "Chor .. ley.. wood ..... Chor .. ley .. wood" having made his own club badge with 'Chorleywood' written on it !! ....
The match began and all played well in this tight encounter. The scores were 2 1/2 to 2 1/2 with the last match to come in ... Could Hillingdon win this last home match ... Sadly, no ..... and you guessed it, Mr Fowler won his match for Chorleywood making the final score 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 ...
A great day ... but not a great result ....
